Ian McKellen (born on 25 may 1939) is a British actor who played Sherlock Holmes in 2015 in the movie Mr. Holmes.
In 2002, he also played the Professor disguised as Sherlock Holmes in the comic sketch Hot Air Balloon Mystery Theater of the Saturday Night Live (S27E15).
