James O'Neill (15 november 1849 - 10 august 1920) was an Irish-born American actor, now remembered for his famous role, the Count of Monte Cristo, and as the father of playwright Eugene O'Neill.
In 1903 and 1904, he played Captain Gerard in the Arthur Conan Doyle's play The Adventures of Gerard.
