L'Auberge Rouge (The Red Inn) is a 1951 French movie, directed by Claude Autant-Lara, starring the famous comic actor Fernandel.

In the movie, Jean-Roger Caussimon played a client of the Red Inn, an englishman named Darwin, dressed with McFarlane and Deerstalker. The movie has nothing sherlockian.
