This letter was dictated by Arthur Conan Doyle and written by his secretary Major Alfred H. Wood on 9 june 1926 to Mr. Carl A. Carleson, President of the Stockholms Spiritualistiska Förening (Stockholm Spiritualist Association) about his novel The Land of Mist.

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your letter of June 1st and renewed invitation. I regret, however, that I have so much to do here that it will be impossible for me to manage it this year.
