This letter was written by Arthur Conan Doyle on 4 may [1925~1930] from Bignell Wood (Minstead, Lyndhurst, Hants) probably to Ernest W. Oaten, Editor of "The Two Worlds" (see also previous letter from 2 may on the same topic).

Dear Sir Ernest

My complaint was not that you did not handle the booklet but that you did handle it in so dilatory a way as to add an unnecessary six weeks to an unfortunate man's fate. I say nothing if the expense of Councils opinion which I undertook at the suggestion of your representative. In all my long experience I have never known a worse-handled business.
