Richard Caton Woodville

Richard Caton Woodville Jr. (1856-1927) was a British illustrator known for his battle scenes (Maiwand: Saving the Guns, Afghanistan ; Charge of the Light Brigade & Storming of the Great Redoubt on the Alma River, Crimea). He worked for The Illustrated London News, The Cornhill Magazine, The Strand Magazine and The Tatler.

He signed: R.C.W.

Between 1883 and 1916, he did 19 illustrations for Arthur Conan Doyle's works.
