Sir A. Conan Doyle, of "Sherlock Holmes" fame, died yesterday at his home at Crowborough.

Sir Conan, who was 71, had written over 60 books and plays. He leaves a widow, two sons, and two daughters. His last words were a tribute to his wife: "You are wonderful," he said.
