Thomas Fogarty

Thomas Fogarty (1873-1938) was an American illustrator.

He studied drawing and painting at Art Students' League, New York, under H. Siddons Mowbray and Carroll Beckwith. Took up illustrating in mags. Has done work on leading periodicals. First book illustrated was Crockett's Cleg Kelly, 1896. Also illustrated Sailing Alone Around the World, 1900. Riis' The Making of an American, 1901, and Battle with the Slum, 1902. The Forest, 1903; Tommy & Company, 1904. Blazed Trail, 1907; Adventures in Contentment, 1907. Adventures in Friendship, 1911. Teacher of illustration at Art Students' League, 1903-1922.

In 1897, he did 5 illustrations for Arthur Conan Doyle's short story The Governor of St. Kitt's.
