Tristan Bernard (1923)

Tristan Bernard (7 september 1866 - 7 december 1947) was a French playwright, novelist, journalist and lawyer. He is famous, particularly, for his play "Les Pieds Nickelés", and as being one of the founder of the french newspaper "Le Canard Enchainé".

In 1909, he wrote a short sherlockian pastiche : Une curieuse disparition collected in "Les Veillées du Chauffeur".
