Plot Summary

Anna Stranskaya, a Russian revolutioner, is looking for documents that have been stolen by professor Coram, her ex-husband. These documents are essential for saving a falsely accused political criminal. She asks Sherlock Holmes for help, who leads an endless battle for having the papers. Sherlock Holmes is faced by professor Coram himself, and also Miss Sarah Moon, who is in love with the detective and who was rejected by him. Out of revenge, she is ready for everything. Anna Stranskaya, in order to steal the documents, breaks into the professor's house, and with the help of London's Revolution League kills him. Sherlock Holmes saves her by stealing the evidence of her commiting the crime. Instead of Stranskaya, Sarah Moon is arrested. An improvised jury is declaring the murderer of professor Coram innocent.
