Lot 249, A Horrific Tale is the 1st episode of the British TV series Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Written by John Hawkesworth and directed by Richard Martin, released on 15 january 1967 on BBC, starring Phillip Manikum as Edward Bellingham and Christopher Matthews as Monkhouse Lee.
Philip and Tom are concerned when fellow Oxford undergraduate 'Monkey' Lee falls under the spell of the sinister Bellingham, an archaeology student who is able to command a mysterious assailant to take revenge on his enemies...
This is an adaptation of the Arthur Conan Doyle's short story : Lot No. 249 (1892).
