David Stuart Davies (10 february 1946 - august 2024) was a British writer and noted sherlockian. He worked as a teacher of English before becoming a full-time editor, writer and playwright. Davies has written extensively about Sherlock Holmes, both fiction and non-fiction. He was co-founder and co-president of The Northern Musgraves Sherlock Holmes Society.
