Brigham Young

Brigham Young (1 june 1801 - 29 august 1877) was an American religious leader and politician. He was the second president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1847 until his death in 1877.

- Our Second American Adventure (1924) : Chapter V. dedicated to the Mormons, describing Brigham Young as "one of the most many-sided characters of history".
- Our African Winter (1929) : In the Voortrekker Museum, relics of the early Boer pioneers reminded Conan Doyle of the Mormon relics in Salt Lake City, especially a tilted wagon, exactly like the prairie schooners with which Brigham Young crossed the plains.
