Peter Madden

Peter Madden (9 august 1904 - 24 february 1976) is a British actor who played Inspector Lestrade in 6 episodes of the TV series Sherlock Holmes in 1965 with Douglas Wilmer (Sherlock Holmes) and Nigel Stock (Dr. Watson). He also played Bill McCarthy in the next season of the same series but with Peter Cushing as Sherlock Holmes (1968).
He also played Von Tirpitz in The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes in 1970 with Robert Stephens as Sherlock Holmes.
