Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure is an American play, written by Steven Dietz and directed by Felicity Ann Brown, performed at the Kensignton Arts Theater (KAT) (Kensington, MD, USA) from 8 to 24 february 2019 (9 performances), starring Peter Harrold as Sherlock Holmes and Bill Hurlbut as Dr. Watson.
The world’s greatest detective has seemingly reached the end of his remarkable career when a case presents itself that is too tempting to ignore: The King of Bohemia is about to be blackmailed by a notorious photograph, and the woman at the heart of this crime is the famous opera singer, Irene Adler. With Doctor Watson at his side, Sherlock Holmes pursues the case. which leads to the lair of a longtime adversary.
The play is a mix between William Gillette's play (1899) and Arthur Conan Doyle's short story A Scandal in Bohemia (1891).
