Sherlock Holmes and the Missing Link is the 4th episode of season 2 of the TV series Science Fiction (1990-1992) produced by Yorkshire Television aired on ITV on 16 october 1992, starring Paul Darrow as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Reece Dinsdale as Sherlock Holmes and Gerard Horan as Dr. Watson. 30 minutes.
In this movie, Sherlock Holmes investigates and discovers that the mystery of the missing link called "The Piltdown Man" is a fraud. He considers Charles Dawson, an amateur archaeologist, unable of such an elaborate plan. He also accuses Sir Arthur Conan Doyle as one of the perpetrators to embarrass scientists for mocking his spiritualist beliefs.
