The Chemistry of Love, A Romantic Tale is the 3rd episode of the British TV series Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Written by John Hawkesworth and directed by Peter Sasdy, released on 5 february 1967 on BBC, starring Keith Buckley as Tom Crabbe and Christopher Matthews as Monkhouse Lee.
Monkhouse Lee's uncle, Professor Ainslie Grey, is a physiologist at Oxford and a hardened misogynist. But his beliefs are shattered when he meets beautiful widow Janetta O'James and succumbs to "the great evolutionary instinct"...
This is an adaptation of the Arthur Conan Doyle's short story : A Physiologist's Wife (1890).
