The Lost World (TV movie 1998)

The Lost World is an Canadian/American movie produced by Fries Film Group / Shostak & Rossner Production released on 13 october 1998 starring Patrick Bergin as Professor Challenger. 93 minutes.
The movie is an adaptation of the Conan Doyle's novel: The Lost World, but with many differences with the original story:
- Challenger doesn't have his famous square black beard.
- A sponsor (Mr. Perreault) offers $100,000 for the first person who retrieves a dinosaur from The Lost World, leading to the betrayal of Lord Roxton.
- The action takes place in Mongolia (instead South America) in 1938 (instead 1912).
- Arthur Malone (instead Ned Malone).
- Neanderthal natives are also found on the lower part of the plateau (i.e. not isolated from civilization).
- The expedition members access the plateau with a balloon.
- They find new hieroglyphs on the plateau.
- Summerlee and Roxton are killed on the plateau.
- Malone is left alone on the Plateau never to return.
- After his return, Challenger announces to the Academy that The Lost World doesn't exist.
